Responsibilities / Duties

– Ensuring all jobs and tasks are carried out with the correct use and application of PPE, safety equipment, Risk Assessment, JSA use, Check-lists, Pre-tak “tool box talks” and all other related safety precautions.
– Performing all deck related tasks including the loading, stowage, securing and discharge of cargo items, liquid/dry bulk products.
– Performing all operations including towage, anchor handling, mooring, shifting, cosmetic maintenance, painting, cleaning; or any other duties as required by the vessel officer’s and the Boatswain’s instructions and orders.
– Stand watches as assigned, instructed and directed by the Chief Officer or the master.
– Familiarise and execute the details of the vessel’s emergency signals, stations and procedures.
